We always followed Trina&Friends' posts on Facebook. When we saw the original post for Rain our hearts really went out to him. He looked so scared but still so loveable. We made a donation to help and carried on with life. At the time, we didn't know that our 9.5 year old Shepherd, Titan, had cancer and would pass on in late January. Our hearts were broken but we decided to wait until later in the year to get another dog. Fate intervened last week. Rain was posted for adoption about 90 minutes from us. Immediately we knew that the time was right. The screening process was very thorough and professional and on Saturday afternoon we brought him home to Upstate New York! His new name is Arlo and he is rapidly settling in and showing us just why we did the right thing.

Trina&FriendsK9Rescue does fantastic work. It is so sad how many dogs need to be rescued and I applaud them for their efforts! Keep up the great work!

Trina and Friends K-9 rescue made adopting our new baby so hastle free!  The foster family met us half way so we wouldn’t have to drive 2 hours to meet her. I’ve been watching them on Facebook for several months now and when Myla’s face (previously Patty) came across my screen, I knew she was the one. She is my 5th rescue over the last 25+ years and my second shepherd. Every dog I’ve had has had an amazing temperament and Myla is no exception. She had her first vet appointment and my Dr said she was absolutely perfect. All her records were in perfect order and she has been beautifully cared for while she waited for us.

His foster mom Lisa was so great meeting us and taking great care of him. We adopted Colby (FKA Kobie) in January of 2023. Trina & Friends K9 Rescue was great to work with – the evening I submitted the application I immediately received a text. The next day I spoke with a representative from the organization and was then connected to Nicole, Colby’s foster mother. I cannot say enough about Nicole’s care and dedication to Colby. She and her husband Frank, trained Colby and helped acclimate him to a life indoors. They graciously drove Colby to our home and spent a few hours with us so we could get to know Colby, while in their presence, for any guidance and information they had. Amazing people. Colby has been with us now for almost a month, while he is still learning some house rules, he is a love. Colby is an affectionate and loving dog, he listens to commands, and greatly enjoys sitting on the couch with a toy. Karina, the founder of Trina & Friends reached out to me for updates on Colby and I have stayed connected with Nicole! These are amazing people, with a wonderful mission – I have worked with several rescues in the past but Trina & Friends K-9 Rescue makes the extra effort to check in, welcome you, and provide insight and support if needed. I cannot say enough about the volunteers to whom I’ve spoken. Thank you, Trina & Friends, for bringing me and many others, amazing pups who deserved a second chance.

We recently adopted Maddie and are so glad that we got to do it with Trina. We appreciate rescues and everything they do, but especially when they’re working with such a special breed. The foster that had Maddie was knowledgeable and very kind. We’re happy that we not only found Maddie, but forever contacts for advice and help if we ever needed it. We would definitely recommend Trina to any family or friends looking for a rescue, as it was a smooth and easy process. Maddie came spayed, microchipped, up to date and with all the necessary paperwork to show for it. Thank you so much for allowing us the chance to give this sweet girl the best home we know how!

I adopted from this rescue for the first time back in March of 2020. I adopted my baby Boomer “Boom Boom”. He was the best dog ever! I loved him so much. After he passed in April 2022, I adopted 2 more babies from Trina & Friends!!! Bella May and Mack. I wasn’t sure I was ready but it turns out I was. I adopted Bella May in June 2022 and Mack in July 2022. I couldn’t be happier. I was a mess when I lost Boomer but since adopting Bella and Mack, I have been so grateful for them. They came from bad places in Texas and California. Mack was listed as “aggressive” and he has been the sweetest cuddle bug I have ever met. Bella was listed as “high energy” and “untrainable” due to her abuse. Since she’s arrived, it has been a lot of work and perserverence. But she is the best little girl anyone could ask for in a Shepherd. I highly, highly recommend this rescue. Please open your home to save an innocent life.

I began association with this remarkable rescue when I saw the story of Bear online.  Paralyzed from DM, he was found in a ditch in Ohio in late Dec. and Trina & Friends stepped up and took him into rescue.  Their adoption process was thorough and fast, and soon he was on a transport to me in NH.  I have since fostered for this wonderful rescue and failed, three times!  It is the only rescue I religiously donate to, their compassion for all but especially those deemed medicals or hard to adopt speaks volumes of their ethics.  I absolutely love this rescue and those who work so hard for it.

I needed to update my post:

Six of my nine dogs were adopted through this incredible rescue. Karina is second to none when it comes to stepping up and bringing in the broken and "unadoptable" and severe medical cases, and she takes the momma along with the puppies. I would not have my Elsa and Bella and Mr Bean (and Pazia and Preston and Mimi) if it weren't for this incredible rescue who has the most relentless, fierce, loving and dedicated dog loving volunteers who make happy ever after endings possible.
Trina & Friends K-9 Rescue is the gold standard for a Rescue that has the integrity and dedication that every rescue should have. I can't wait to adopt my next dog from Trina & Friends !!

I wanted to leave this review because I feel it is well deserved. Trina and friends rescue deserves more than 5 stars, Karina goes out of her way to make sure everything is 100% done right. From my first messages with her to the end where I adopted Ares, everything was smooth. She is a wonderful person and cares about every dog she helps. My family and I love the dog we adopted from her (Ares). What really stays with me, is that she continues to stay in touch with us and provide us with additional information should we require it. We had such a great experience with Karina. I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a rescue dog or a German Shepherd. Thank you again Karina for bringing us together.

We had a great experience with Trina and Friends. She is so responsible and careful to find the perfect matches. We had adopted a female shepherd from her a year or two ago and we were on the lookout for a another one. We have kids and cats and therefore dog rescue can be complicated. Karina said she would be on the lookout for a good fit and sure enough a few months later we got a call. She placed us with a perfect young male who has been a great addition to our family. In addition, we have fostered a few dogs for her too. Karina takes the tough cases-the dogs she pulls can be difficult. The dog community is just so very lucky to have her.

I came upon this rescue because I was struck by the
compassion of Karina and her fosters  and
amazed at all of the beautiful dogs that were available. Many of them pulled
from death row. I started following Trina and Friends over a year ago. Never in
a million years did I realize we would connect from so far away. Then-a picture
of Amira was posted. I knew when I saw her eyes she had to be my dog somehow. I
adopted her only from her picture. She has an amazing story. Hit by a car and
injured in Azerbaijan in the Middle East. Thru the collaborative efforts of
Karina and Good World Shelter Rescue Amira arrived at JFK with passport in paw
and went to her amazing  foster mom’s
for  3 weeks. This was at the height of
the pandemic. Finally my beautiful dog was delivered to my doorstep by the very
caring transport people.  The rest is
history. She fit in with my two other dogs beautifully from day one. They are
always very upfront if there are issues they are aware of re: cats, multiple
dog households, children, etc. She knew from day one I was going to be her
forever mom and she’s the happiest dog I’ve ever seen. Thank you Trina and
Samantha for making this happen!!!❤️❤️
