Decompression tips:

Our goal is for you and your new family member to have a long and happy life together. We encourage you to take a few moments and review some helpful tips on decompressing your new best friend.

A simple rule of thumb are the 3’s of adopting:
3 days to decompress, 3 weeks to feel at home, and 3 months to become completely acclimated to their new home.

Trina & Friends K9 Rescue Spay & Neuter Policy:
To help reduce pet overpopulation and ensure the health of every dog, our rescue requires the following:

• All adult adopted dogs must be spayed or neutered (unless medically impossible/unethical)

• Puppies too young for surgery must be spayed or neutered by the date specified in their adoption agreement, with a signed Spay/Neuter Contract by Adopter.

• All dogs in the Adopters’ home MUST be spayed/neutered if a puppy who is too young to be spayed/neutered is entering the home. NO exceptions.

• Proof of spay/neuter from a licensed veterinarian is required for puppies adopted before they are old enough for surgery.

• Failure to comply with the spay/neuter agreement may result in violation of the adoption contract and could require the return of the dog to the rescue.

• No dog adopted from our rescue may be bred. Under ANY circumstances.

• Exceptions to this policy are made only when medically necessary and must be supported by written documentation from a licensed veterinarian.
